Everything from the moment we walked in me and my daughter was greeted and treated with the utmost care. Went there to celebrate my daughter's accomplishments and From the food to the service Frederic our sommelier was kind and attentive to us. Definitely coming back. The food. Was wow. The ambience was lovely as well. Had it all from appetizers to desserts! Left happy and with full bellies!

The food, the amazing Alchemist bartenders, the ambiance and the all around clientele make this a very special place .

The staff were so friendly. We dined at the restaurant in celebration of my close friend's birthday as well as my own. It was a dual celebration and the restaurant greeted us with birthday cards and 2 glasses of champagne. The food was amazing!! Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and food options. The ambiance was welcoming and beautiful! I would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a high end dining experience!!

Best steakhouse, in Los Angeles, and possibly America. From service to food... I love these kind of places where you can dress how you want, I can wear a hat... and still enjoy a nice $200 or $300 dinner without feeling like I'm being judged. I've spent at least ten thousand dollars here over the last few years. I've brought my employees here a ton of times (none of my employees would dress up for anything, even if I ask them to), and this place never made any of us feel like we were unwelcome. More steakhouses and restaurants in general should learn from this place. By the way, did I mention that the food and service is incredible. They never get my order wrong, unlike Ruth Chris, which gets it wrong every time and forces me to dress to their standards. I hope Alexander's stays in business forever, and I will continue to patronize with my dollars.

Definitely a great place for a special date! Came for a friends birthday, and service was top tier. We were able to understand the menu and order what they had. We all collectively thought that the medium rare was a bit too rare, as I couldn't chew some parts of it. They had no problem in remaking our steaks, which then came out the way we envisioned it. Place is very pricey, so make sure you come here with that mindset.

1,000th YELP REVIEW GOES TO ALEXANDERS! BEST OYSTERS I'VE EVER HAD! Yes, their steaks are perfectly cooked medium rare. Yes, the chef is a master at blending unique ingredients to create delicious magic in your mouth. Yes, they have so many different wines & liquors that their book is as thick as the Bible. Yes, they're classy and will start your meal with complimentary champagne if you're celebrating something special. Yes, their servers and staff are attentive and knowledgeable and genuinely happy to work. Yes, they give you free cotton candy to make you feel like a kid again. All of these reasons are why I'm giving 5-stars but the number one reason why I'll be coming back to Alexander's is because their raw oysters are impeccably clean, sweet and uniquely delicious! The BEST I've ever had and I've eaten a ton of oysters lol. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. I'm a fan! Only let down was their seared wagyu crispy rice appetizer. Please use white rice the hardened brown rice was not crispy but chewy not in a good way with weird aftertaste.

My absolute favorite steakhouse, this place was delicious and service was above and beyond incredible. It is a large restaurant that can accommodate both couples and large groups. We tried all 6 of their cuts of wagyu beef, and each one provided a whole different experience. Every single cut was tender and juicy, but my favorites were the Miyazaki, Kobe, and Oita which was extremely fatty. They also gave us 6 different salts to pair with the steak: black salt, cancale, sel d'antibes, appalachian salt, smoked salt, sal de gusano. We also had the caviar which was delicious, tasted fresh and well presented. The tartare came on bread with slices of truffle on top. However, although I love tartare, this dish was a pass. The bread to tartare ratio was too off and it overpowered the tartare. The rib eye (which I believe is dry aged) was extremely tender. This was the best ribeye I've ever had and it was especially good with the butter. Speaking of butter-- not pictured is the bread with the beef butter and honey butter inside a bone marrow they served us. Both were good, especially the honey butter. This was also the best truffle pasta I've ever had. The sauce was so creamy. I also love Kumamoto oysters because even though they're smaller, they're sweeter than normal oysters. They were super fresh and I believe they only serve oysters no older than 48 hours old. Lobster mac is a must at any steakhouse, and this one did not disappoint. Not pictured is the fried rice which was recommended but could have done without. However, the broccolini was worth an order, and I loved the hint of sourness in it. We had two desserts but I'll just include my favorite: the yuzu cheesecake! They typically give this for anniversaries & birthdays.

Came here for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved it. Only bad thing was we didn't make reservations early enough and we're seated outside. Definitely would recommend sitting inside to get the full on experience of how amazing this place is. The interior is very modern and towards the bar area. It is geared toward bourbon lovers. Service and staff beyond amazing. Everyone was helpful and eager to help. Started off with the oysters, which are basically just oysters, but definitely fresh. Tried the Hamachi shooter that everyone talks about and definitely gave that a 10 out of 10. Tried the shrimp and those were good. Just a little pricey for the size but still amazing. Everyone talks about the bread with a different butters and again top-notch. Went ahead and got the regular fillet. Added the blue cheese to it. If you're feeling like you're a Baller, then I recommend the Australian Wagyu or the A5. The salmon also was phenomenal. Ended the night with the soufflé and their chocolate lava cake. Will definitely be back for our next special occasion.

Did the $185 omakase - it was great value and included A5. I was super pleased and surprised with the complimentary yuzu cheesecake that cane after the strawberry mousse cake. I was also pleasantly delighted with the pork kakuni that was reminiscent of elevated pork belly and quail eggs. Overall, beautiful plating. The only parts of the omakase I firmly believe should not be in there: the beet salad and the lobster ravioli. The beet salad could have benefitted from more cheese and less beet. The lobster ravioli smelled funky but tasted better than it smelled. Our server, Tim, was attentive and everyone was super hospitable! Parking is validated for two hours downstairs. Ambience: there were people who were dressed in golf polos but also people who dressed business casual. Lights are nice and dim, it's a very romantic place. I also saw families having dinner here too.

Our friends took us here for my husband's birthday, and we were promptly seated upon arrival for a party of four. Service throughout the night was fantastic and we ordered many things on the menu. We enjoyed everything that we ate especially the steak, of course. The desserts were also beautifully presented and were all delicious. The cotton candy at the end was also super fun! We appreciated the welcome drink provided as well. The overall ambience of the restaurant makes for a three fancy celebratory dinner. We'll be back!
